What makes us unique?
We are not your average dog walkers. Tails N' Trails specializes in hikes, adventure daycare, group walks, recall and leash etiquette training, and customizable pet care. Unlike most pet service businesses, you are set up with the same regular caretaker for your pet(s). We pride ourselves on the importance of developing a relationship with you and your pet(s) in order to offer the very best care for them. So much so, that we require clients use our services for 2 months prior to being able to book in-home sitting or boarding with us. These particular services entail the regular walker staying overnight in the dog’s own home, or the dog staying overnight in the walker’s own home, rather than in a kennel or boarding facility.
Not only do we have specialized care and policies, but all of our walkers are also pet CPR/ first aid licensed and certified dog trainers. Simply put, Tails N' Trails is not your average dog walker!

Founded in 2015 by Carolina Carver, Tails N’ Trails began as a solution to meet the unique needs of her own high-energy working dog breeds. Struggling to find adequate outlets for her dogs’ exercise and socialization, Carolina envisioned a pet care company that prioritized adventure and enrichment. Starting in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Tails N’ Trails quickly grew, opening locations in Milwaukee, WI, in 2022 and Worcester, MA, in 2023. Follow us on social media @tailsntrailspets as we continue to open up more locations in 2025!

Hi, my name is Mack, and I am from a small town in eastern CT. I have grown up around dogs my entire life, specifically Golden Retrievers and German Shepards, which seem to be my favorite breeds. Growing up as an only child, my best friend was my golden, Rex, who I spent every moment with. As a kid, I would often walk to the neighbor’s house to see their two goldens. I love working with all of the dogs and families of Tails N’ Trails. My favorite part of working at Tails N’ Trails is going on hikes and meeting all the new furry friends. Helping the animals grow and learn every day is such a rewarding experience.

My name is Selah and I am from a small town in Connecticut. I have always loved animals, but had a special interest in dogs and cats. Pictured above is Rocket, Golden retriever/Aussie mix, who was my soul dog and best friend for 14 years! He was the most loyal, energetic, smart and spunky dog that I've ever encountered, and showed me how amazing dogs (and all animals) can really be. As a pet owner, he taught me the importance of relationships with animals and how to be a patient, yet fun leader and companion - and I LOVED learning from him.
After recently moving to Massachusetts for grad school, I realized that this would be the first time I didn't have a pet in 15 years. Since I needed a job and primarily work with people, I thought it would be a great opportunity to find a job working with animals. I have always been a fan of Tails N' Trails' mission, so I am so happy to join the team! I can't wait to learn and grow with all of the TNT pets, and I'm committed to bringing my best while working with them. Fun fact: The tattoo on my arm is a rocketship, dedicated to Rocket!

Hi! My name is Jack. Growing up my mom had a dog walking business and as I got older I quickly began helping out. I have always loved taking my own dogs out for hikes. Now that I am not living at home with my childhood dog, I feel so lucky to have been able to join the Tails N’ Trails team where I can now experience that with your pups! I’m Julie and nothing makes me happier than spending my time with animals. I have worked with dogs and cats for over a decade. I spent two years working with a trainer, then I worked for a dog daycare for a little over 8 years and then I found Tails N’ Trails. I was lucky enough to be rescued by my rescue dog back in 2015. She was my best friend who I will never forget. Luna was her name and she was my everything. We rescued each other and since her passing I have been very lucky to befriend many of my clients pets and get to spend time with them. I love earning the trust of all my clients and building relationships with them. My goal is to bring them home happy and tired. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, being surrounded by animals daily just makes sense to me.

Hello! My name is Eve and I live in Barrington. I am a lifelong lover of dogs and have had dogs in my life as long as I can remember. After learning about the plight of rescue dogs and the immense effort to bring massive amount of dogs up north, I decided to become a foster with Rhode Home Rescue. We fostered many puppies and helped find them loving homes. As happens to many dog fosters, my family fell in love with two big, goofy puppies and decided to have them join our family. From there I began boarding dogs in my home. We have a nice size property with a big fenced in yard and the dogs generally have the run of the house! In Barrington we also have a lovely long beach with is great for dog walks as well a nice park nearby and lovely neighborhood. As my kids are getting older, meeting and caring for new Doggy friends helps to keep my heart and home full.

Hello! My name is Danie. I rescued my dog Milky 10 years ago and she changed my life forever! She is a German Shepherd mix. With Milky being my first dog, I had to learn a lot of new things from the dog world! I fell in love with her and quickly learned how unique each dog is. It is how I found that my happy place is always next to a dog. Growing up my mom had a cat daycare at our home, so I've been surrounded by animals my whole life. I have been a dog walker since 2021. I find my job really rewarding and exciting. I give my best everyday and always want to give the dogs I care for beautiful experiences. I treat them all with love and respect, the same way I’d want my Milky to be treated.

Hello, my name is Tammy! I was born and raised in Rhode Island, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Hi, my name is Kayla and I am from Central MA. It's always been a part of my path to help others. I am excited to bring my knowledge & skills to the Tails N' Trails team and add cheerful moments into your pets day to day routine. Pets play such an important role in our lives and it means so much that I can treat your pets like my own. Hi, I’m Tiana from Fitchburg MA-Dog Walker, Cat Whisperer, and All-Around Animal Enthusiast! As a former stay-at-home mom to one amazing kid, one oversized dog, and three cats with very big personalities, I’ve mastered the art of juggling chaos — with love, humor, and plenty of lint rollers. My days used to revolve around school runs and snack time; now they’re filled with tail wags, purrs, and happy paws. I started dog walking because I believe every pet deserves attention, exercise, love, and genuine connection — and I treat each one as if they’re part of my own furry family. Whether it’s a high-energy walk, a quiet cuddle, or simply keeping your pet company while you’re away, I bring reliability, warmth, and a touch of fun to every visit. I feel my happiest when surrounded by animals. I grew up around dogs/cats my whole life & I worked at a Doggy Resort for a year. Can't wait to meet you & your furry friends!

My name is Bailey, and I am from central Massachusetts. After many years of sitting in an office working a 9 to 5, it is exciting to get the opportunity to go on walks, hikes, and socialize with some of the sweetest creatures on Earth. Growing up, my family always had animals in our pack. It makes life much richer having a dog, a cat, or even a chicken to share your time with. I come to Tails n Trails to reconnect with the sweet life of being present with animals out in nature. I am also a business owner, teaching mindfulness meditation. Hope to see you on the trails!

I aspired to be a trainer and went to school through Pet Care Services Association for pet CPR and basic pet care. After some years of Service Dog Training, I went for further education of Canine Obedience Trainer/Instructor. I have years of experience in day care, sitting, walking, hiking and especially training, both classes and in home.I am married to an amazing trainer, who specializes in puppy behavior. Each and every one of our pets are family, and I love helping you provide the best experience for your pet. Looking forward to sharing in your pets happiness.

I’m Jay and I have always loved every pet, no matter the shape or size, from horses to hamsters! I discovered my passion for working with animals, mainly dogs, two years ago when I applied for a position at a doggy daycare. It was only temporary, but throughout the year I spent working there, I couldn’t get enough! Spending time with dogs doesn’t feel like work to me, it feels like fun! It’s also very enriching for me when I’m able to build a relationship with an animal and watch their trust in me grow. There’s nothing like it! I’ve since worked with all types of dogs varying in size and temperament and I find that there is no challenge that isn’t worth pursuing! All that said, I can’t wait to meet your pets and make new fur friends!

Hey! My name is Molly, ever since I was little i’ve always dreamed of working with animals, in fact on every school assignment I wrote that I wanted to be a Veterinarian. My family was convinced that was what I was going to do all my life, Growing up horseback riding, going to dog shows, and begging my mom to take me to see animals in need made me realize how much I appreciate them. I have learned so much for caring for animals from working at multiple dog care facilities. I enjoy the challenging yet fun, exciting, loving, exhilarating, moments with animals. Never a dull moment with these furry friends. They truly make me the happiest in the world. Hey there! My name is Carley, I grew up in Madison WI and just recently moved to Milwaukee. I was raised with lots of American Bulldogs, so I’m a huge big breed lover!! I’ve worked professionally with dogs since I was 14; so 6 years now! At my previous job I ran the puppy training program. I have training experience professionally as well as my own dogs. I studied a lot about animal body language and negative vs positive reinforcement to know the dogs that I’m working with always get a training routine that is ethical, rewarding, and personally tailored to each dog that promotes amazing results. I tried to change careers at one point but everything always led me back working with animals, it’s truly my soul job I could never imagine doing anything different. I take pride in my work and wake up every morning excited to have another day with the dogs. When I’m in the care of your dogs they will always be stimulated, happy and healthy.

Hi, I’m Dee. I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid, and that early love turned into a career I truly enjoy. I briefly explored vet-tech work, but realized my heart was in hands-on training and daily care—so I learned to train dogs and worked professionally as a trainer for several years. I’ve also been walking dogs since 2019, and I love matching each pup’s energy, building confidence and good manners, and making sure they come home happy and relaxed. The fresh air, the exercise, and—most of all—the canine company are what make every day with Tails N’ Trails the best kind of work.
